My frenetic writing pace has slowed, but it hasn’t stopped. What have I been writing about? That is a good question.
March Madness from Me
- Do you have Financial Phobias? I found this while spring cleaning this site. There are plenty of things to worry about when it comes to money.
- Effective Interest Rate of Service Charges a rewrite of an older post from about ten years ago. Why is anyone paying service fees on their banking? Don’t stand for that.
- Nineteen Years Ago, This Started. What is more interesting is that I have been writing three separate sites for the past 19 years. Check out my technical site NotHowToDoIt.com.
- Statement of Grant with No DTC we are now in a state of stasis. We are waiting on whether my son’s DTC is renewed. If that happens then many tasks will need to be started.
- Hapus Dydd Gŵyl Dewi (Happy Saint David’s Day) the patron saint of Wales.
- February’s Finest Financial Fables was a longer recap of what happened in February.
More will be coming in April.
Some Other Good Reads
I do read other folks articles, here are a few I found interesting. Remember I am getting close to retirement.
- Retirement Spending Experts Michael James comments on episode 289 of the Rational Reminder podcast, is an 8% withdrawal rate safe? You’ll have to read and listen to find that one out.
- Boomer and Echo bring us Weekend Reading: Asset Allocation ETF Tips which has a few good ideas. My portfolios have been using TD E-series, but I am now mostly using Vanguard and in some cases yes a single ETF works for me.
- Moneysense taught us how to save (and invest) your first $100,000, but it missed the important part. Your first $100,000 you save is after you have paid off your debts, right? Don’t get fixated with savings, have an emergency fund, but pay off debt is the important thing.
- Do you want to Axe the Tax or do you feel the Carbon Tax is a necessary evil? Preet gives us his perspectives in the following video.
