Another Boxing Day is upon us. After the COVID Boxing Days, will this day be more traditional? By Traditional, I mean lunatic running around and spending money.
For the past few years, Boxing Day has meant a snowstorm, but that isn’t forecast for Ottawa this year.
Given December into January has become Boxing Month, I doubt there will be huge sales that cause mad panic.
Explanations for the origin of the name have varied, with some believing that it derived from the opening of alms boxes that had been placed in churches for the collection of donations to aid the poor.

I have written on the topic of Boxing Day a few times.

- Mayhem is always present on Boxing Day, but remember just because it is on sale, doesn’t mean you have to buy it.
