The challenge continues, and we will see if the participants can keep their commitments!
From the Anchor Post Lenten Financial Challenge (which you can still comment on and join our community), we don’t have any new joiners to our challenge, but we still have our originals:
- Sandy at YesIamCheap who is overpaying AND giving up coffee
- Joe who I am not sure about whether he was joining or saying he was already doing this stuff
- Anne who is going to make some overpayments
- Miss T. from Prairie Eco-Thrifter, who is going to cut out some coffee and over pay too
- Personal Finance is going to add some investing (a newcomer, welcome), which should be fun as well.
Keep up your vows!
There’s not much new this week, I’m not doing too well in terms of my health vows (eating a great deal of crud), but I will get back on that horse this week.
If newcomers are still welcome, I’m in. Most of the points you mentioned, I’ve been doing it already. The following are what I’m working on:
I’ve been reviewing my Quicken (Thank you!) more often than I used to review on MS Money before. Will make it a point to review every weekend.
I also gave myself an adult allowance – to limit my spending in one category. I’ll stick to it during this lenten challenge.
Another thing I’d like to do is donate to charity more this year.
