Bogus Collections and other Scams

From time to time, I receive bogus scam e-mails (if from time to time is translated to every hour of my day), and most of the time, it is painfully apparent that this is phishing or simply a scam of some kind. Another fraud is going on where letters of the collection are sent to folks demanding payment, outlined here by our friends at Canadian Money Advisor. This kind of stuff is vile and pathetic by the vermin of life. Be skeptical about anything like this, especially if you don’t remember how this might have happened!

If you make your money preying on others by intimidation and trickery and flimflammery, remember Karma is a nasty thing to fool with. Also, remember that no matter how big a Dog you think you are, there is always a giant Dog looking to kick your ass (translation: Sometimes, you get bit even by your pet snake).

I used to think this stuff was funny and dismissed it by saying anyone who fell for this was a sucker, but that’s not the case, mostly.

As ye sew, so shall ye reap my friends, and if you think it’s funny, what does that say about you? What would you feel if a loved one were the victim of this crap?

Sorry folks, this is a sensitive subject for me, and I am fighting a wicked hangover, but these are my opinions.

  1. I usually find humor in most blatant forms of human stupidity; however, I’m with you on this one.

Spam email for screw cream, while frustrating, is definitely different from preying on people’s fear like in the article.

It probably did rope a few. You’re right though. Ultimately, karma gets all scammers in one way or another.

  2. Hey Cajun,
