Over at FMF another good Sunday posting asking about Giving Now versus Giving Later. Giving what you can is good, but give what you think you should give is maybe the goal isn’t it? No this is not some pious Christian rant (one of the pillars of Islam is charity too, and I am fairly sure I could find the importance of charity in most organized religions (except maybe Devil Worship, but let’s not go there)).
A good quote for the day:
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:19-21, NIV
Give, and figure out in your heart how much you think it should be, but I bet it’s not as little as you give now? I’m not just talking money either, give your time, give your talents and maybe you are taking the right steps?
