It’s up to you, as usual. I just lay the numbers out and try to warn you about the things you should be thinking about, I’m not your parents. Every decision needs to have a lot of thought put to it, especially one that has as many ZEROS in the price of it.
My decision is to stay in my current home, and renovate (my numbers are a little different as well). I don’t think I can find as nice a house, in as nice a neighbourhood, for anywhere near what I still owe on my current house (even with the cost of renovation added to it), so that is why I am staying where I am. Your mileage may vary, just remember, to RESEARCH ALL the costs you can think of, weigh the costs and make an INFORMED decision, as always.
